TRIESTE
Brass B&B is located in a central but quiet neighborhood: Largo Barriera Vecchia.
This area is well served by supermarkets and shops for all needs and is well connected to all parts of the city through local bus lines. In the vicinity you can find many historic cafes and bakeries.
We are very close to Viale XX Settembre, a pedestrian avenue where you can find bar, restaurants, cinemas and the Politeama Rossetti theatre. The Ospedale Maggiore is within
walking distance
In just a couple of steps it is possible to reach Piazza Goldoni, one of Trieste's main squares. In this square you can take the stairs that climb up the hill of San Giusto's and
visit the most important church in town: Saint Justus' Cathedral (Cattedrale di San Giusto). The hill is also home to a sturdy 15th century castle in which you can find a museum
and a restaurant. Walk around its walls to admire the spectacular panorama of Trieste and its gulf.
A 10-minute walk from Piazza Goldoni down Corso Italia (where you can do some shopping) will lead you to the enchanting Piazza dell'Unità d'Italia, the largest
square in Europe facing the sea. Opposite the square you can enjoy a relaxing promenade along the waterfront and on the Molo Audace, a 200-meter-long pier that represents the
ideal spot to admire the sea on one side, and Trieste's beautiful buildings on the other.
If you want to visit Miramare Castle (Castello di Miramare) or you just want to take a swim but you don't have a car, you can take the bus from Piazza Oberdan
and reach Barcola area in 10 to 15 minutes. From Piazza Oberdan you can also take the old tramway (Tram di Opicina) that will take you up the hills to the
village of Villa Opicina, releaving Trieste's amazing landscape.
